Reporting to the Field Engineer, the tool room attendant is responsible for the maintenance and inventory of supplies within the tool room at a warehouse or business. The duties and responsibilities of a tool room attendant revolve around inventory control, but a tool room attendant must also understand how to use equipment to explain the process to new employees.

 

What You'll Do Here 

  • Responsible for organizing, identifying, marking, and tracking company owned tools.
  • Inventories and places new tools in service.
  • Identifies tools in need of replacement.
  • Issues tools and equipment to personnel and maintains records of tool issuance and return.
  • Assures that company tools are controlled and accounted for.
  • Evaluates tool condition for wear and damage, assuring no damaged items are sent or received
  • Ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
  • Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

 

What You Bring To The Team

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the nuclear/construction industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience in tool maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Able to work independently and within a team
