ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project – the largest project in Metrolinx’s GO Expansion. 

Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

 What You’ll Do Here:  

  • Participate in the selection process by reviewing resumes, conducting pre-screen interviews, and providing feedback to hiring managers 

  • Payroll functions: create position codes and assign position number into SuccessFactors
  • Coordinate/Manage recruitment activities – schedule interviews, follow up on open roles, draft offers though ATS, pipeline top talent 

  • Coordinate Human Resources orientation and onboarding for new hires and ensure completion of all onboarding documentation including employee file 

  • Maintain required TA process tracking and reporting 

  • Perform administrative duties such as maintaining vacancy trackers regarding status/ATS, creating reports and dashboards regarding talent acquisition to ensure continued improvement within recruitment activities 

  • Support TA events and activities as required (job fairs, intern events .etc) 

  •  Support HR OPS: new hire set up, welcome emails, facilitaie orientation ect. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Team:   

  • Completion of college diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field 

  • Previous 3-year experience working within a Human Resources department 

  • Preferred Completion of university degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field 

  • Preferred previous experience working within a Human Resources department within the manufacturing industry 

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) 

  • Familiar with applicable employment legislation 

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and project management skills 

  • Must be able to meet project deadlines, with good sense of urgency and follow through 

  • Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
