Position Title:  Project Coordinator

ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. You are someone who:

  • Supports Risk Manager and Risk & Planning team in managing project risks.
  • Liaises with stakeholders, explains the risks using previous construction experience
  • Manages administrative documentation, maintains files and correspondence on various project bundles.
  • Interacts with Civil, Track and Utilities teams to identify risks

 

You bring:

  • Civil Engineering, Engineering Technologist, or Construction Technology Diploma/Degree/Post-grad Certificate.
  • 1-3 years of construction experience, with multi-disciplinary, large-scale projects as an asset.
  • Understanding of civil and utility works.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (“CJV” aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
