Position Title: Superintendent

ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. You are someone who:
- Supervise all on-site activities related to construction, demolition, utility installations and experience in leading infrastructure projects including bridges, rail and structures
- Help with the preparation of supporting documentation including bill of materials, databases, testing plans, schedules, and related contract documents.
- Ensure work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Keep daily records and logs in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety standards, devise and implement site policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular project inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Manage on-site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Comply with all relevant regulatory and corporate policies and procedures as well as ensure that staff have proper licenses and qualifications for the work assigned.
- Understand and abide by all Ministry of Labour (MOL) regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
- Ensure systems are in place to manage project site safety and environmental concerns (ex. Safety plan, JSA process, pre-job meetings, etc.).
- Travel to project sites as required.
What you bring:
- 8-10 years minimum in a supervisory position within the construction industry: civil, rail, bridges, tunnels etc.
- Construction site experience required
- Experience with the interpretation of and adherence with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Act.
- Experience with and understanding of Engineering tools/equipment, automated systems, remote tooling systems
- Excellent Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work the project schedule which may include weekends and/or night shifts
- Flexibility to work in both field and office
