What is the Opportunity?

Aecon Green Energy Solutions Inc. brings energy solutions to residential customers in Ontario. This includes a wide range of heating/cooling solutions such as furnace, geothermal, heat pump products, and solar solutions for both new build and retrofit homes.

Reporting to the Field Services Supervisor, the Solar Installer Technician will be responsible for the installation of the solar panels on clients’ rooftops, using power tools.

What You'll Do Here:

• Set-up safety equipment and PPE for job site.
• Safely work to install solar racking at different job sites.
• Work as a team to ensure efficient work practices.
• Mount the panels and install critter guard.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure all components are installed correctly.
• Perform site assessments taking measurements of building structures.
• Continually strive to improve worksite safety and productivity.

What You Bring to the Team:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Good communication skills.
• Construction experience is required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Previous roofing or solar experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have Valid G driver’s license.
