What is the Opportunity?
The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at both the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.
The Jr. Project Administrator is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of the ESMSA project, depending on business requirements. This position is seeking a 16 month contract.
What You'll Do Here:
- Perform all Administrative and Clerical duties for the site and other sites teams within the Darlington Plant, including DNNP and RFR.
- Preparing project distribution memos and emails.
- Prepare equipment for new employees and workstations, collaborate with IT for setup.
- Onboard and Offboard employees.
- Maintaining and ordering of office supplies, coffee supplies and other requests.
- Set up site events and functions, order food, supplies and hand out site employees.
- Assist with other sites events and functions.
- Submit Expense reports for management.
- Arranging setup of meetings, taking minutes of meetings.
- Assist in Photocopying and Scanning of Packages from project team.
Document Control:
- Support Document Control when required.
- Printing, Scanning, combining documents and records.
- Setting up and maintaining project documentation within EDMS system.
- Checking the quality of drawings and documents to be catalogued.
- Receiving, tracking and monitoring drawings and documentation.
- Interfacing with the project team to coordinate the control of documentation.
- Generating transmittals to send documentation to external parties through electronic or hard copy means.
- Checking the accuracy of transmittals.
- Expediting the review of internal and external documentation within engineering and construction departments.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 1-3 Years minimum in administrative roles.
- Post Secondary or equivalent combination of and education and related experience.
- Basic knowledge of Engineering terminology would be as an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and MS windows environment.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Knowledge of Aconex (EDMS) SharePoint, Acrobat or Blueprint are not essential but would be an asset.
- Team player able to take directions and work with other site members and leadership.
- Punctual and Dependable .
- Strong communication skills, able to adapt in group settings and group functions
- Understand the importance of Nuclear Safety.
- Able to travel to different site locations.
- Work location is onsite in trailers.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long peridos of time.
