Position Overview
Aecon Industrial brings seamless solutions to key clients through operational excellence and reliability. With the ability to self-perform across our diverse business offering and a strategic fabrication network, Aecon Industrial proactively and profitably manages projects across a diverse range of industrial business areas. (Renewable Energy, Natural Gas Distribution, Oil and Gas, Water, Mining, Cogeneration Energy, Chemical, etc.)

Successful applicants must become members of the United Association union local 527 as a Metal Trades Worker.
Key Responsibilities
- Be able to spray using conventional, airless, and plural equipment.
- Be able to prepare materials for spray application: i.e., mask, sand, clean.
- Be able to read and understand drawings / dimensions.
- Be able to follow coating technical data sheet specifications.
- Be able to use wet film and dry film gauges.
- Have familiarity in all types of coatings, i.e., zincs, epoxies, polyurethanes, etc.
- Operate hand and power tools of all types.
- Handle material using forklifts, overhead cranes, buggies and carts.
- Receive and identify incoming material.
- Clean and prepare shop areas.
- Assist other craft workers.
- Be willing to learn new skills as Aecon will provide training for this position.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Fall Arrest is an asset
- WHMIS Certification is an asset
- Overhead Crane Training is an asset
- Forklift Training is an asset
- Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use stairs, ladders.
- Ability to work extended hours when required, occasionally in outdoor weather conditions
- Flexibility to work various shifts
