We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Subcontractors Manager to join our construction company, specializing in Federal US Government projects. The ideal candidate will manage subcontractor relationships and ensure compliance with all federal regulations, particularly for projects with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). This role requires a deep understanding of federal contracting, cost accounting standards (CAS), and a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.

What You'll Do Here
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and federal regulations.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of subcontractors for federal projects, including issuance of Purchase Orders via SAP.
- Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, and other federal regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and review subcontractor agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
- Issue Purchase Orders via SAP that contain all relevant flow downs to subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor subcontractor work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractor invoicing and payment processes.
- Provide regular reports on subcontractor performance and project status to senior management.
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontractor management, preferably in federal government projects.
- In-depth knowledge of CAS, FAR, DFAR, DEAR and other federal contracting regulations.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- 7+ years of experience in subcontractor management with a focus on federal government projects.
- Previous experience working with the DoD, DoE, or TVA.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or related certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification.
