About Us
The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out the Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project. The project involves refurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Generating Station and consists of two phases – a Definition Phase and an Execution Phase. The Definition Phase includes the construction of a full-scale reactor mock-up to simulate key elements of the refurbishment work, and the development, procurement and testing of specialized tooling required for the project. The Execution Phase involves refurbishment of the reactor cores using the tools and methods that were developed and tested during the Definition Phase.
The Junior Project Coordinator Co-Op is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of the RFR project, depending on business requirements. This is a 1 year co-op term starting in January 2025.
What You'll Do Here
⦁ Communicates with RFR engineering team members and engineering manager to maintain the engineering scopes work breakdown structure
⦁ Communicates changes/updates from the engineering team to other project groups (i.e. scheduling, project controls, construction)
⦁ Organizes meetings (internal or client) as required and develops meeting minutes
⦁ Reports on Action Items from readiness meetings for input to the Action Items register
⦁ Coordinates construction field challenges to leadership and helps to develop solutions to with feasible plan
What You Bring To The Team
⦁ 3rd or 4th year Engineering Degree preferred but not required (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural)
⦁ Minimum GPA of 3.0
⦁ Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills
⦁ Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
⦁ Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated
⦁ Thrive on a fast paced-environment
