About Us

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Atkinsrealis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

 

As a Construction Data Analyst Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing ongoing support to the rollout and maintenance of the Excellence in Nuclear Construction (ENC) framework.  This role is primarily independent for day-to-day work activities and tasks.  However, will be fully integrated into the series project/construction teams providing support and production analysis as required.  This position reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager but taking most direction and with a dotted line to the Continuous Improvement Manager. A key focus will be on the creation, maintenance of ongoing support for Construction teams in the area of data analysis.

 

What You'll Do Here 

  • Collect, manage, and interpret data to help identify trends to support Shoreline Construction Team
  • Independently apply statistical analysis and process analysis techniques to the Fuel Channel series while in the planning, training and execution phases.
  • Create and maintain construction dashboards at all levels.
  • Maintain SharePoint Infrastructure and train stakeholders in its use.
  • Development of reports, procedures and processes for production analytics as required.
  • Independently required to plan, schedule and manage own time, including taking into account the plans of others
  • Be a key interface and representative of construction when dealing with support departments (project controls, safety, quality, etc.)
  • Development of reports, and procedures as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support construction related Continuous Improvement initiatives (Waste Walks, Workshops, BIG Room)
  • Provide data/dashboards in a timely manner for use by construction team.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Post-secondary school education in a Data Analytics or Engineering discipline
  • Exposure in data analytics or project engineering in a construction or EPC environment
  • Understanding of business intelligent platforms and supporting platforms (preferably with Microsoft product knowledge) i.e. Power Bi, Power App, Microsoft Flow and Excel.
  • Fundamental knowledge in gateway applications as it pertains to business intelligent platforms and supporting platforms.
  • Some exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies would be considered an asset.
  • The skillset to design and implement databases to support the business unit.
  • Collect, manage, and interpret data to help identify trends to support the business unit.
  • Apply statistical analysis and process analysis techniques to help drive business solutions.
