As a Project Resource Manager (PRM) you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the allocation of field craft resources within the Aecon US organization, to ensure efficient operations and successful project delivery. This position will act as a bridge between project managers and various departments, collaborating to ensure projects have the necessary resources to succeed.

 

What You'll Do Here 

 

  • Responsible for overall coordination of project craft resource allocation to ensure project delivery. More specifically, the PRM coordinates/ensures:
    • Resource Allocation: Determining which resources are needed for a specific project and assigning them appropriately (Craft types – Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Supervision, Support).
    • Scheduling: Planning and scheduling resource availability and mobilization times and deadlines.
    • Capacity Planning: Ensuring that enough resources are available to support current and future projects. Additionally ensuring that the resources are qualified to perform their assigned tasks.
    • Conflict Resolution: Addressing resource conflicts and ensuring resolutions.
    • Skill Development: Identifying skill gaps and working with resources to develop the necessary skills for their roles.
    • Performance Evaluations: Evaluating the performance of resources and providing feedback to improve their skills and productivity.

 

 

What You Bring To The Team

 

    • Minimum 10 years resource management experience in EPC/nuclear environment.
    • Applied knowledge of nuclear project work, financial operations, project controls methods/standards, union relations and employee relations.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent computer skills (typical MS suite programs).
    • Strong knowledge of Welding, Pipefitting and Boiler making skills.
    • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
