What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Project Manager, the MDU Coordinator will support the Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. team with project tracking, reporting on various telecommunication projects, and various administrative responsibilities.

 

What You'll Do Here:

  • Creating and maintaining CSOs within our internal system.

  • Creating and monitoring project schedules and submitting them for review as required.

  • Collaborating with CAD Techs and Designers.

  • Supporting the Project Manager as required.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers including providing customer updates and answering any customer inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Creating and maintaining trackers for project statuses to ensure all revisions are recorded.  

  • Managing and supporting multiple projects within varying locations at one time.

  • Uploading work plans and issuing them out to customers.

  • Some negotiation with vendors and/or customers as required.

  • Managing the project delivery with the team.

  • Responsible for invoicing customers for work completed

  • Issuing and tracking PO requests and sending them to vendors for payment.

 

What You Bring to the Team: 

  • Post-secondary education.

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience.

  • Proficient with computer software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Great verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good understanding of the Telecommunication/Construction industry is considered an asset.

  • Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness.

  • Valid class "G" license and own transportation.
