About Us
The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and AtkinsRéalis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
Working with the Series Training Manager, the Jr. Project Coordinator (Co-op) – Series Training will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the FCFR project by working with the construction teams to analyze contract work packages and converting requirements into training programs; and leading the scheduling and organizing of training activities for the Bruce Power FCFR Series execution.
What You'll Do Here
⦁ Partner with stakeholders regarding employee training requirements
⦁ Coordinate the training analysis phase and apply the Training Needs Analysis and OPEX
⦁ Liaise with subject matter experts to organize the relevant information for instructional design
⦁ Support the Instructional Designer with training content creation during the development phase
⦁ Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
⦁ Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
⦁ Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology
⦁ Document training plans for individual employees including program scheduling
⦁ Coordinate logistics for training activities including venues and equipment
⦁ Track and report on training outcomes and provide feedback to program
⦁ participants and management
⦁ Keep current on training technology and methodology
⦁ Other duties as assigned
What You Bring ToThe Team
⦁ 3rd or 4th year Engineering or Technology Degree (Mechanical/Nuclear preferred).
⦁ Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
⦁ Previous construction experience considered an asset
⦁ Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project
⦁ Excellent analytical and organizational skills
⦁ Excellent interpersonal skills
⦁ Excellent written and oral communication skills
⦁ Computer literate
