Working closely with the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of the jobsite equipment and vehicles. This position is based out of Aecon's head office in Etobicoke, ON

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and coordinating equipment rentals for job sites, along with rental reconciliation.
  • Onboarding new vehicles and equipment acquired, including validation checks/inspections at the time of delivery. 
  • Maintain necessary equipment lists for assignment, repair backlog and work pending.
  • Various reporting including equipment variance, utilization, mileage for safety, etc.
  • Allocate assets to jobsites and assignment in SAP.
  • Administration of equipment adjustments and transfers.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance between operations and field or shop maintenance personnel to ensure availability of equipment.
  • Complete annual registration for new vehicles and renewals.
  • Educate jobsites on the equipment processes and procedures.
  • Conduct project site audits to inspect equipment and proper operation of the equipment.
  • Coordinate GPS / Telematics solutions, installations, repairs, etc.
  • Stay up to date with health and safety practices and regulations to always ensure compliance
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Support operations teams within Eastern Canada.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy duty equipment and/or vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience with project or equipment administration is an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs i.e., SAP.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Superior communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a focus on deadlines, using initiative and requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
