Aecon Green Energy Solutions is at the forefront of sustainable energy in Canada’s residential and commercial market. This includes solar rooftop systems, energy storage, EV charging solutions. In addition, we are building solutions towards electrification of heating and cooling loads to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. For heating and cooling needs, our solutions include the use of air source and ground source heat pumps (including geothermal loops) and hybrid solutions addressing the needs in both new construction and retrofit markets. From EV charging to geo-exchange systems, we provide a range of green energy capabilities supported by in-house design and engineering, trusted industry partnerships, and proven track record of complex, turnkey delivery. As the Sales Manager, you will report to the Director of Green Energy Solutions and lead a team dedicated to growing Aecon’s green energy footprint across Ontario. This role will focus on managing a sales team with 5 – 10 sales representative selling green energy solutions to homeowners across Ontario. The main focus will be on residential HVAC products but will include growing business in EV, solar and geothermal.

 

What You'll Do Here:

  • Responsible for sales plan achievement through operations in existing service territories and by growing business into new regions
  • Establish individual and team sales targets and monitoring overall performance
  • Manage the day-to-day high volume activities of a sales team selling residential energy products – HVAC, solar and geothermal and deliver on sales goal
  • Responsible for top-line growth of revenue as well as meeting growth objectives around gross margin
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales and the corresponding allocation of sales support resources
  • Facilitate training and ensure support resources are in place to develop salespersons capable of selling the full scope of bundled offerings available.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership role with a track record of achieving targets, ideally within the HVAC or green energy sectors.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to influence cross-functionally, exceptional communication, and proven strategic thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and sustainable energy solutions is a plus.
  • Goal-driven, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
