Position Title:  Commercial and Compliance Coordinator

 

Who We Are:

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rail and Systems (SSE-SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.

 

As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Commercial and Compliance Coordinator to join our team.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage and administer the project’s subcontract management platform to facilitate review and approval processes for change orders, variations, and claims.
  • Oversee commercial workflows and processes to ensure contractual compliance across the project, supporting multiple project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of key commercial deliverables, including change orders, variations, claims, disputes, payment applications, and other contractual requirements with the client.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior management to provide insights for decision-making and alignment on next steps.
  • Serve as a liaison, facilitating coordination and communication across commercial, subcontract, construction, procurement, project controls, and finance teams.

Experience You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of change and cost management processes within a project environment.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cost Management platform or similar construction project management systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with focus on Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The listed salary range reflects potential base pay and considers factors such as experience, education, and training. Each candidate is evaluated individually and offers toward the higher end may be extended to those with exceptional qualifications.
