Position Title: Project Coordinator
Who We Are:
STC is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rails and Systems (SSE-SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.
As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for all construction activities related to piles installation, excavation, GIMP, dewatering, concrete, road grading and pavement, landscaping, drainage, demolition, restoration, and any utility work.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to build schedules, obtain estimates, define scope of works, develop construction plans, coordinate construction on site, inspect works for quality and compliance, and manage conflicts that arise.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for agreements, permits, approvals, and to obtain additional information.
- Ensure cost reports, inventory, and quantity tracking meet specifications.
- Understand, communicate, and enforce the contract documents and RFI’s when discrepancies occur.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities on the project.
- Monitor cost and schedule and correct deviations to keep the project on time and within budget.
Experience You Will Bring:
- Engineering / Engineering Technologist / Construction Technology Diploma, Degree, or Post Graduate Certificate required.
- 1+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Experience on multidisciplinary, large-scale railway and/or infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment standards, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and conceptualize construction drawings and identify potential constructability issues.
- Sound computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, SAP.
- Strong communication skills – oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with others as a team.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The listed salary range reflects potential base pay and considers factors such as experience, education, and training. Each candidate is evaluated individually and offers toward the higher end may be extended to those with exceptional qualifications.
