As a Field Engineer you will play a key role on fabrication projects by assisting in the Field Engineering Manager and coordination of schedules, manpower, customer relations, engineering, etc.  Risk analysis; project forecasting, liaising with EPC and subcontractors are daily occurrences in these positions.

 

What You'll Do Here: 

  • Coordinate project requirements with functional groups (Drafting, Materials Management, Production, Quality, Shipping)
  • Set-up, input budgets and budget revisions for all projects
  • Assist the Field Engineering Manager with documentation required for jobs, including schedules and manpower charts; invoices and supporting documentation, trucking & tool request forms.
  • Alert management to possible risks or potential problems with projects and assist in their resolution
  • Initiate and conduct cost, revenue and margin analysis reports
  • Create, maintain, and update customer time & material rates and Billings.
  • Monitor payment status on all assigned contracts and co-ordinate receivables
  • Maintain filing system for contract documents in accordance with Operating Procedures.
  • Assist the Field Engineering Manager in ensuring the contract is fully invoiced, complete with supporting contract documentation
  • Performs Project reviews for compliance with codes, contracts, documentation
  • Preparation of the job for job closure including closing P.O., inactivating cost codes and ECAC
  • Maintains telephone and written contact with contractors / vendors regarding various projects.
  • Prepare material and labor take-offs for estimating, reading from project drawings, ISO’s and/bill of materials.
  • Prepare final estimating summary for submission.
  • Invoicing of completed spools shipped to customers.

 

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication or related Industries
  • Maintains multiple tasks.
  • Detail oriented
  • Good interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of cost controls
  • Ability to read and understand orthographic and isometric drawings
  • Knowledge of invoicing spool / as built drawings for customers
  • Knowledge of CAD and updating drawings.
  • Knowledge of document control and material inventory management
  • Knowledge of pipe and structural welding processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access Data base
