What is the Opportunity?
As a Junior Field Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting fabrication and construction projects. This position involves coordinating schedules, documentation, and technical requirements while working closely with the Field Engineering Manager and project teams. It’s an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in project execution within the nuclear sector.
What You'll Do Here:
- Coordinate project requirements with drafting, materials management, production, quality, and shipping teams.
- Assist in preparing schedules, manpower charts, and project documentation.
- Support cost tracking, budget updates, and project forecasting.
- Participate in risk analysis and help resolve project challenges.
- Prepare material and labor take-offs from drawings and bills of materials.
- Conduct project reviews for compliance with codes and standards.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with invoicing and contract documentation.
What You Bring To The Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (orthographic and isometric).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Interest in learning cost control, document management, and fabrication processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Knowledge of welding processes and material inventory management.
- Previous experience in construction or fabrication (co-op or full-time).
