SA Energy Group is a General Partnership between Robert B. Somerville and Aecon Utilities, a division of Aecon Construction Group. SA Energy Group provides mainline pipeline construction services to the Canadian Oil and Gas industry.  We have a strong project backlog and our successes are well documented having constructed over 1000 km of large diameter pipeline over the past 8 years.
Purpose of the Position
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Jr. Project Manager will assist in the planning, documentation preparation, coordination, and scheduling of activities within their assigned task(s) of work. 
Status of the Position
This is a temporary, full-time position.  The work schedule will be 6 days on (Monday – Saturday) and 1 day off (Sunday), 12 hours per day. The employment term shall be dependent on the duration of the current project and future project workload.
The position will be based out of SA Energy Group’s Project Offices in camp, located northeast of Prince George, BC.

Key Responsibilities
•    Work collaboratively with SA Energy Group’s Management and Project Team to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
•    Assist Project Management Team and Commercial Manager with identification, quantification, and documentation of Change through the Contract.
•    Assist with project safety performance and support field engagement through safety inspections and audits. Support Safety Advisors in any required safety investigations and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
•    Assist with quality, material & subcontractor management process.
•    Assist with the management of financial performance to ensure business plans targets are being met.
•    Report issues to Project Managers regarding financial performance, workload status, potential legal issues, and potential opportunities.
•    Assist with project-level disputes and escalate issues within the Project Management Team.
•    Ensure that all activity on the designated project is consistent with corporate and divisional strategic plans, business plans, policies, and procedures.
•    Effectively collaborate with Construction Management & Supervision to support all crewing and project needs.
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Knowledge and Skills
•    5-10 years of construction experience in pipeline, heavy civil, or forestry construction.
•    Minimum 4 years of experience in a Project Coordinator role.
•    A combination of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
•    Relevant degree or diploma in Construction or Engineering is preferred.
•    Strong communication skills.
•    Ability to work effectively as team member and team leader.
•    Proven ability to build relationships and drive results from internal and external stakeholders.
