COVID-19 Site Screening Coordinator (6 Month Contract)

Position Overview

Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry.


This position has been implemented to assist our project team with performing on-site medical screening specifically for COVID-19. The Site Screening Coordinator follows the companies COVID-19 protocols for screening workers for possible infection, utilizing individual questionnaires and temperature monitoring. This position will not be required to provide any medical care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recording worker site entry and administering medical questionnaires
  • Ensuring workers entering the job site are provided with approved masks and use temperature monitoring
  • Deny access to project sites for workers who; answer positively to the questionnaire, record a temperature above the set guidelines or are in non-compliance with company protocols
  • Report cases of positive responses to the questionnaire, temperature readings outside of set guidelines or non-compliance with protocols to the company’s pandemic support team
  • Individually package masks in line with approved protocols
  • Additional duties as assigned


Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Successful completion of a High School Diploma
  • 1 – 2 years of administrative or related experience
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate with workers at all levels of the organization
  • Must have computer skills to perform duties including software experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to deal with sensitive issues in a confidential manner
  • Sound judgement and conflict management skills
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors and to stand and sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule required, days nights and weekends
