Position Title:  Lead Scheduler

I.    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Lead Scheduler will lead the i effort in thethe development and maintenance of the project schedule on the SMR , in accordance with the client management and governance plans.The senior scheduler will participate in the production of the schedule & project controls related documents (Basis of Schedule, Project Controls procedures, Applied Earned Value techniques, Baseline Change control procedure.

II.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁    To prepare and regularly update Planning and Scheduling procedures: issue special Planning and Scheduling instructions, as required.
⦁    To establish and maintain all the project office planning and scheduling functions, systems and procedures to assure definition, determination of schedule status and progress, and analysis of schedule trends for effective project management. 
⦁    To independently prepare and update project schedules 
⦁    To attend meetings on the project, and inform relevant project personnel on schedule and manhours status 
⦁    To develop and maintain a detailed task and deliverable list in PM+ 
⦁    To receive the JCS reports every week, verify corrects and process them
⦁    To attend meetings with contractors at site and update schedules 
⦁    To produce reports and graphics for earned value reporting 
⦁    Preparing complex engineering and construction schedules for projects 
⦁    Maintaining schedules 
⦁    Preparing reports for management regarding project scheduling activities 
⦁    Ensuring the maintenance of all other essential records and reports 
⦁    Maintaining liaison with project management regarding scheduling activities and assisting them in determining schedule priorities 
⦁    Provide timely feedback to project managers with regards to activities trending away from the set plan
⦁    Providing technical guidance to co-workers

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁    Provide guidance and support to the junior scheduling staff.

IV.    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
⦁    A technical or business degree from a recognized institution is required
⦁    7-10  years of related planning & scheduling experience
⦁    Advanced knowledge of Earned Value concepts, and their application on a large scale multi owner integrated project 
⦁    Knowledge of SAP and other project management tools would be an asset 
⦁    Experience in an EPC environment is preferred
⦁    Advanced knowledge and experience in Primavera Project Manager
⦁    Experience in Schedule Risk Assessment toolsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
⦁    People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients

V.    FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
⦁    Fiscal responsibility as required by the Joint Venture agreement.
