What is the Opportunity? 

 

As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the construction of Canada’s first Small Modular Reactor on the SMR-X Project.

Reporting to the Onboarding & Training Manager, the Learning Analyst will work closely with the Nuclear Learning Experience Designer to collect, measure, and analyze data from training initiatives, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and assessments to improve educational outcomes.

They will act as a bridge between data and instructional strategy, conducting needs assessments, creating data visualizations, and offering actionable insights to enhance training effectiveness and align learning with project goals.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Analyze and interpret training and operational data to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reports to monitor training effectiveness, including performance metrics and completion rates.
  • Support needs assessments and learning strategies by partnering with the Learning Experience Designer to identify training gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in the development of training plans and alignment of learning objectives with business and project requirements.
  • Provide system administration support, including troubleshooting and maintaining learning and reporting platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between training initiatives and operational needs.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Excel and Power BI to enhance visibility and reporting accuracy.

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Exposure to instructional design principles and/or nuclear training environments considered an asset.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset.
  • Solid technical aptitude with the ability to learn and support new systems and tools.

Pay Range: $65 – 75K
