What is the Opportunity?
Since 1967, we have proudly served Ontario’s nuclear industry. Aecon Nuclear aims to be the partner-of-choice for key nuclear clients and our dedication to excellence is leading us there. Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry. Aecon has been awarded an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at both the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of the ESMSA project, depending on business requirements.
What You'll Do Here:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering.
- Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.
- Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.
- Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.
- Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
- Maintain high standards related to final product quality
- Performs other duties as required to support business and project objectives.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Technical (Engineering or Engineering Technology) education is preferred but not required 2-5 years of engineering and/or construction project experience
- Experience with civil construction (geotechnical work, building foundations, etc.) is an asset Proficient written (report writing) communication skills
- Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry is not required
- Ability to work in the Bowmanville office 5 days a week
- P Eng. designation
- PMP designation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Due to the nature of work conducted by Aecon, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
