What Is The Opportunity?

Reporting into the Vice President of Equipment the Equipment Manager will oversee the maintenance and success of three shops facilities. This position will be based out of our Endeavor Shop in Calgary, Alberta and will require occasional travel to our facilities in Medicine Hat and Edmonton.


What You Will Do Here:

  • Manage and oversee shop facilities and personnel at Endeavor, Medicine Hat, and Edmonton
  • Stay up to date with health and safety practices and regulations to always ensure compliance.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance planning, procedures and life cycle management to ensure the proper function and longevity of equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Develop and maintain inventory of all equipment.
  • Monitoring schedule performance of different equipment suppliers.
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment, both for delivery and for maintenance, taking corrective action where necessary and as appropriate.
  • Work in collaboration with the operations team to train equipment operators and ensure regular inspections and daily PM tasks are completed.
  • Manage company spend and contracts to achieve financial budget.
  • Work with the rest of the fleet team on a weekly basis to control shop and equipment spending.
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment mechanics and maintenance operations.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging. 
  • Be vigilant for unsafe acts, practices, or attitudes.

 

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with heavy duty equipment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a management position.
  • Red Seal Certified Journey Person or Equivalent - Heavy Duty.
  • Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of procurement and general business financials.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace changing environment.
