What Is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Equipment Director, the Equipment Division Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining on road equipment related regulatory compliance programs across Canada and the United States. Working closely with Equipment, Operations, and Leadership, the Equipment Division Compliance Manager establishes consistent standards, communicates legislative changes, and provides clear visibility into compliance status across all operating jurisdictions.

 

What You'll Do Here:

  • Manage and implement the National Safety Code (NSC) compliance program across Canada and the United States.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve compliance tracking systems for each province and applicable U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain clean and compliant CVOR and NSC records.
  • Develop standardized compliance processes and present them to Operations teams to ensure consistent expectations and execution.
  • Collaborate with Equipment Managers, the Equipment Director, and the VP of Aecon Equipment and AGI on licensing requirements for fleet-owned and rental vehicles.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend best practices for managing and maintaining carrier profiles.
  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes to legislation, regulatory standards, and licensing requirements affecting fleet operations.
  • Provide regular, clear updates to leadership on compliance status and standing in each operating jurisdiction.
  • Develop and maintain a standard criteria and expectations for each jurisdiction to support consistency and future reference.
  • Other duties as required.

 


What You Bring to the Team:

  • Strong knowledge of NSC, CVOR, and fleet licensing requirements across Canadian provinces and U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Experience developing and managing compliance programs in a transportation, construction, or equipment-intensive environment.
  • Proven ability to create clear processes, standards, and documentation for operational teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Equipment, Operations, and Executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to regulatory detail.
