Our Calgary Construction Operations group is looking for a Paver Foreperson to support our 2025 Road Construction located in Calgary, Alberta.The Paver Foreperson will oversee the daily tasks of the asphalt paving crew, encouraging a positive work environment and motivating the team to excel in their work. They will also manage task coordination, order necessary materials and equipment, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain clear communication with management regarding daily operations.

 

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Supervise and manage personnel, machinery, and resources
  • Report to Project Manager and Management regarding all facets of the job site
  • Identify and communicate potential hazards while ensuring that appropriate safety measures are enforced
  • Monitor and report on daily production levels
  • Exemplify leadership
  • Offer training as needed on different types of equipment and labor responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of equipment
  • Complete tasks within the designated time frame
  • Uphold the company's reputation while fostering a positive work environment for the team.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum of 3 years as an asphalt paving foreperson
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C, Ground Disturbance, Mobile Equipment Awareness, CSTS, WHMIS, and Leadership for Safety Excellence.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, and crouch as necessary and able to work in hot outdoor conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • High-quality workmanship in site preparation, grading, and finishing.
  • Strong communication and coordination with the crew and management a
  • Exercising good judgment and ensuring safety while effectively communicating with the team.
