Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager or designate, the Project Controls Coordinator plays an essential role in project execution. The Project Controls Coordinator will be responsible for providing project controls support to the project leadership.
What You'll Do Here:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing, maintaining and updating project budgets and forecasts
- Scheduling: Preparation of lookaheads, develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, prepare schedule narratives, perform critical path analysis to identify schedule risks and optimize sequencing.
- Cost Tracking & Analysis: Assist in monitoring project performance and ensuring that the project controls system is properly implemented. Investigate variances and recommend corrective actions to keep the project within budget.
- Contract Management: Assist in ensuring all contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for the project.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports, dashboards, and performance updates for internal stakeholders (e.g. JV partners) and the client.
- Change Management: Assist in the development, coordination, and tracking of change orders.
- Actively participate in engineering, procurement, quality, and construction matters to develop a stronger understanding of project status.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in project controls and cost accounting in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and adaptive thinking skills.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SAP, P6, and SharePoint applications is an asset.
- Proficient written (report writing) communication skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and advancing technical knowledge.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
- The candidate must be bilingual (French and English).

Relevant du gestionnaire, Préconstruction, ou de son représentant, le coordonnateur en contrôle de projet joue un rôle essentiel dans l’exécution des projets. Il est responsable de fournir un soutien en contrôle de projet à l’équipe de direction du projet.
Responsabilités Principales:
Fournir un soutien à l’équipe de projet pour les tâches suivantes :
- Budgétisation et prévisions : Aider à l’élaboration, au maintien et à la mise à jour des budgets et des prévisions de projet.
- Planification : Préparer les échéanciers à court terme (lookaheads), élaborer et maintenir des échéanciers détaillés à l’aide de Primavera P6, préparer les narratifs d’échéancier et effectuer des analyses du chemin critique afin d’identifier les risques de retard et d’optimiser la séquence des travaux.
- Suivi et analyse des coûts : Aider à surveiller le rendement du projet et à s’assurer que le système de contrôle de projet est correctement mis en œuvre. Analyser les écarts et recommander des mesures correctives afin de maintenir le projet dans les limites budgétaires.
- Gestion contractuelle : Aider à s’assurer que toutes les conditions contractuelles (facturation, rapports, gestion des changements, etc.) sont appliquées et respectées tout au long du projet.
- Rapports financiers : Préparer des rapports de coûts détaillés, des tableaux de bord et des mises à jour de performance pour les parties prenantes internes (ex. : partenaires de coentreprise) et le client.
- Gestion des changements : Aider à l’élaboration, à la coordination et au suivi des ordres de changement.
- Participer activement aux activités liées à l’ingénierie, aux approvisionnements, à la qualité et à la construction afin de développer une meilleure compréhension de l’état d’avancement du projet.
- Autres tâches connexes, selon les besoins.
Connaissance et expérience requise:
- De 1 à 3 ans d’expérience en contrôle de projet et en comptabilité des coûts dans le secteur de la construction.
- Capacité démontrée d’analyse, de résolution de problèmes et d’adaptation.
- Maîtrise intermédiaire à avancée de Microsoft Excel, SAP, Primavera P6 et SharePoint (un atout).
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite (rédaction de rapports).
- Intérêt marqué pour l’apprentissage continu et le développement des connaissances techniques.
- Solides compétences organisationnelles permettant de gérer plusieurs tâches dans un environnement de chantier à haute pression.
- Le candidat doit être bilingue (français et anglais).
