Business Development Coordinator

Position Overview

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Coordinator will be responsbile for supporting revenue efforts as Aecon Nuclear continues to grow.


Key Responsibilities
⦁    Manage consolidated pursuit activity list and maintain an archive of submittals 
⦁    Assist and maintain key Client Relationship Matrix
⦁    Perform market research and data analysis to better understand markets, competition, trends and opportunities
⦁    Prepare and develop required standard documentation associated with proposal submissions and ensure continuous maintenance of resumes and project sheets 
⦁    Create and edit key client presentations and assemble client packages for Aecon executives 
⦁    Provide technical and marketing communication support to BD Leads, as directed, in the preparation of proposals, bids/tenders and PPT presentations
⦁    Support, print and assemble RFQ and RFP packages
⦁    Interface with Corporate Business Development and Marketing to ensure continuity between Corporate activities and to ensure compliance with Corporate guidelines
⦁    Support meeting set-up and organization and record and issue minutes of meetings as required
⦁    Participate, as needed, in relationship-building opportunities, including conferences, boards and other offsite events
⦁    Assist in the development of community relations 
⦁    Contribute to business cases for investment and partnership


Required Knowledge and Experience
⦁    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, or related field 
⦁    Can maneuver through complex political situations effectively being sensitive to how people, organizations, and cultures function
⦁    Cross-cultural agility – awareness of and value for diverse Aboriginal culture and history
⦁    Ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect; is effective both inside and outside the organization, on both cool data and hot and controversial topics
⦁    A self-starter; capable of working both independently and in a team environment, sometimes with little direction
⦁    Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple deadlines and tasks
⦁    Experience using SharePoint an asset
⦁    Proficient in Microsoft Office products as well as other software products such as Illustrator
