What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.
The Fabrication Administrator will report to the Fabrication Manager and will be responsible for supporting Fabrication activities.
What You'll Do Here:
- Help the Fabrication manager ensure the project stays on track and meets the quality standards.
- Preparing, organizing, and storing information in paper and digital form.
- Manage and coordinate the schedules for the construction manager.
- Perform administrative responsibilities including taking meeting minutes, preparing correspondence, and managing files.
- Performs administrative duties for the fabrication team ensuring all documentation is accurate & reported daily or weekly as required.
- Learn, interpret, and apply organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
- Establishes and dismantles site offices as required.
- Order, return, and track electronic equipment as required by project.
- Track and manage facilities.
- Organize team meetings, lunches, and incentive programs as required.
- Arranging travel and accommodation.
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, mailing, couriers, and administering office supplies.
- Suggest and implement improved work methods and systems relating to administrative tasks.
- Other duties as required.
What You Bring to the Team:
· Must possess 2 + years of office related experience.
· Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
· Intermediate level of computer skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong communication skills, ability to deal tactfully with employees, visitors, and customers.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to multi-task and work within time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Thrive in a fast paced-environment.
