Learning Coordinator

Position Overview

Aecon’s Corporate division provides a support system which extends throughout all branches of the company and includes IT services, communications, finance and human resources, among others.
 

Reporting to the Director, Talent Development for Aecon, the Learning Coordinator will oversee the course administration cycle and support the day-to-day operations of the EHS Training Team. They will partner closely with the EHS and Operations teams to maintain the learning calendar, and work with various partners to ensure learning capability exists for current and future needs.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide administration and coordiantion support of training courses to ensure effective and timely course information, registration and logisitics
  • Resolve challenges concerning the delivery of training programs between registrants, trainers, partners and external service providers
  • Consult with client groups on new courses and logistics to ensure efficient program planning and streamlined course vendor relationships
  • Provide end to end support on new EHS course projects
  • Manage EHS Training team billing, material orders and training contracts
  • Generate relevant dashboards/reports to provide accurate information regarding the administration, compliance and value of the training courses offered 
  • Support EHS training projects by supporting administration, logistics, pilot planning and deployment
  • Engage and support other training team members to ensure flawless execution
  • Research industry trends and learning innovations to promote Aecon’s learning culture

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 3 years experience in planning and coordinating complex training session logistics & schedules
  • 1-3 years experience working with Learning Management Systems
  • 1-3 years managing billing, POs and invoices
  • Strong technical skills (SAP, SharePoint, Power Point, Excel, Word, Office 365)
  • Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize short and long term projects
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities and meet changing timelines
  • Ability to exercise judgment in dealing with registrant issues and concerns
  • Ability to develop positive, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers
  • Strong collaboration skills
