What Is The Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.
Under the general direction of the JV Project Manager, the Logistic Co-Ordinator will work with project vendors, partners and site personnel to coordinate material deliveries, movement of material and components between fabricators and site. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for requisitioning project materials.
This position is located in Cambridge, ON.
What You’ll Do Here
- Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and project partners
- Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project
- Liaise with all fabricators to establish and maintain inventory tracing and early identification of material demands
- Coordinate all transportation of materials and modules, including generation of BOL’s and other Aecon-generated documentation
- Work with technical experts to requisition materials based on design requirements
- Report logistical planning and risk to the JV Project Manager
- Implement Joint Venture and Client policies and project procedures as required
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring To The Team
- Education to include a technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum 5 years construction/fabrication and subcontractor experience
- Ability to successfully contribute to a logistical project team
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction such as; technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirements
- Good communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read and understand Cost Reports and Schedules
- Basic presentation skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
Reason for vacancy: New Role
Salary range: $52,000- $91,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
