What is the Opportunity?
Aecon Nuclear currently is undertaking efforts to replace key components at the Darlington and Bruce Power plants as a part of each respective Life Extension Program to allow operation for another 40+ years.
Aecon Nuclear is also currently at the forefront of the next generation of Nuclear Power in Canada by fabricating and constructing the first of a kind SMR facility in Darlington in addition to potential other new build large scale reactors among other exciting nuclear industry efforts across North America and Europe.
What You’ll Do Here
- Weekly Preparation and maintenance of the vendor payment priority list
- Reconciliation of the monthly visa statement
- Work within SAP to manage blocked invoices for the procurement team
- Provide support to the AP group to manage SharePoint invoice issues
- Facilitate requests for supplier addition to the Aecon ASL and new vendor set up requests
- Close-out and/or reduce open purchase order commitments when a project is finishing as requested
- Generate Purchase Orders as required for such things as services, transportation, utilities, Staples, etc.
- Maintain and order office supplies for the Procurement team as required
- Handle vendor inquiries and direct them to the appropriate Buyer
- Maintain filing of all purchase orders for both temporary and permanent storage
What You Bring To The Team
- Diploma or degree in business considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned and willingness to learn.
- Proven skills in problem resolution.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work effectively with a team environment.
- Experience in procurement
- Proficient with SAP
- Previous experience in the construction industry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior computer skills with a solid understanding of Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
