Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Scheduler will support the project in the development of the project control domains at the Aecon-Wachs Portfolio. The scheduler would also perform tasks related to project cost control and reporting.
This is a hybrid role located in Ontario and will require travel to US on an as need basis.
What You'll Do Here
• Support Project Controls in aligning Schedule to Cost (SAP) in terms of WBS and details for current and upcoming projects in coordination with project management and proposal teams
• Establish Earned Value metrics derived from Schedule and Cost
• Support various projects management teams in client reporting requirements
• Perform periodic updates and progress snapshots and maintain baselines and progress records
• Build baseline schedules for proposals and estimation teams in coordination with cost estimates
• Setup and attend periodic internal coordination meetings
• Monitor all projects schedules and flag incompliances, delays, and deviations from baselines
• Participate in integrated Project Controls and extend support in cost control through training and application
• Assist Project Controls team in developing and maintaining internal reporting for Aecon Executives
• Assist in Risk Management
What You Bring To The Team
• College and/or University degree in related field, OR applicable work experience
• Minimum of 6 years of related planning & scheduling experience
• Knowledge of P6 is required and other project management tools would be an asset
• Applied knowledge of Project Management and Project Controls principles, including experience with concepts of PMBOK and AACE
• Ability to produce read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reports
• Ability to correlate metrics of all Project Controls domains; Schedule, Cost and Risk
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
• Applied knowledge of cost engineering/cost control and willingness to practice cost control
• Experience in an EPC environment is preferred
• People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients
