Reporting directly to the Commercial Operations Director, the Project Director, Federal Compliance is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Federal Compliance project for the US Nuclear business segment by implementing plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, maximizing operating results and mitigating compliance risks while working to successfully transform the project and role into a mature Compliance Management program.

 

What You'll Do Here 

 

  • Design, develop, document and drive implementation of short and long term plans supportive of the overall Federal Compliance project plan for the US Nuclear division to optimally position the business to grow and avoid compliance issues within the federal services space.
  • Plan, staff and supervise Federal Compliance project related activities including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining job functions, roles and responsibilities. 
  • Provide leadership for the execution of the Federal Compliance project activities to ensure successful project delivery and transition into a mature Federal Compliance program that the successful candidate would transition into leading.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with prime federal services clients, suppliers, and appropriate governmental entities to ensure a positive relationship is developed.
  • Maintain budget discipline and provide periodic reports on project status to detail project costs and operating results.
  • Must have the ability to identify emergent project risks, articulate mitigation strategies, and execute.
  • Member of the Federal Services Leadership Team.
  • Prepares staff development and succession plans for key management positions within the project.

 

What You Bring To The Team

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Finance, Law or relevant field.
  • J.D., M.B.A. or advanced degree desired.   
  • 12+ years of experience in managing large, complex federal compliance projects, ideally in a construction, engineering, or nuclear industry.
  • Experience managing compliance matters and working in a large US defense contractor.
  • Experience in US government acquisition regulations, export law, cyber security regulations, and foreign ownership, control or influence (FOCI) is highly valuable.
  • Experience and ability to read and understand government regulations and ensure business process and procedures address and mitigate risk is desirable.
  • Must be knowledgeable of FAR, DFAR, EAR, ITAR, DEAR, and GSA regulations.
  • Experience in leading and executing key corporate compliance projects is valued.
  • A strong business and experience in change management is required to understand and influence key internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Has significant experience working with Senior Executive Leadership and extensive experience developing critical productive relationships.
