Position Overview

The Technical Records Support Analyst is a key member of the Technical Records Management program whose primary focus is on the systematic control of records relating to physical assets. An integral part of the continuous improvement cycle of the program, the analyst is expected to identify efficiency and effectiveness enhancements. This position is based in Chatham, ON.


What You'll Do Here:  

  • Pre-process of documents for further analysis or imaging
  • Review, analyze and sort records based on specific research criteria
  • Enter descriptive and other metadata before storing/archiving electronic records
  • Compare data and information discovered in the records to existing content in the corporate mapping system (GIS)
  • Maintain records research tracking of work completed
  • Retrieve physical records from on site storage and complete requests for retrieval from off site locations
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure integrity of documents, electronic images, and records metadata
  • Identify improvements in processes, systems, technology and procedures  


What You Bring to the Team: 

  • Relevant College diploma and University degree (Civil, Mechanical, GIS, Surveying) or a Business Administration program with focus on records and informtations management (Archival Sciences, Media Technology, Information Technician etc.)
  • Experience using computer systems and processes to administrate data, records and information
  • Direct experience using computer systems and processes to manage records relating to natural gas assets considered an asset
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, project documents, construction as-builts and technical records
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a process based environment with high work volumes and transactions
  • Proven ability to plan, organize and execute work tasks independently
  • Experience drafting, mapping and data collection methodology in the natural gas industry an asset
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Bentley ProjectWise, Bentley Navigator LinkFixer, TreeSize, Adobe, Microstation, G/NetViewer, SAP etc.
