Location Outline

We have opportunities available in the following locations:

• Kingstown Port, at Saint Vincent and Grenadines
• Pendry Hotel at Barbados
• Clayton J. Lloyd Airport Project at Anguilla
• USVI Airport redevelopment Project at St. Croix and St. Thomas

Position Overview

As a placement Quantity Surveyor at Aecon International, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks, all while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.

*Placement terms can vary and be discussed with the students based on their program structure.

What You will Do Here

• Support the analysis of subcontractor quotations.
• Help Prepare interim applications, ensuring timely submission of executed works, on-site materials, and subcontractor work to the Client’s team.
• Assist in reviewing conditions and qualifications before tender submission.
• Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors in evaluating and measuring contract variations.
• Aid in the procurement process of subcontractors.
• Generate payments and distribute notices to suppliers and subcontractors, including measuring works and discrepancies to determine final costs and accounts.
• Contribute to weekly financial forecasting by compiling contract costs.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team

• Enrolled in a Quantity Surveying Program
• Hold of full Driver’s License is preferred
• Attention to detail coupled with exceptional planning and organisational skills 
• Demonstrate a interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity
• Excellent good communication skills, be able to work flexibly in a team and be a hard worker
