Position Title:  Business Manager

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Business Manager will be responsible for directing and supporting the project's administrative functions and personnel for the project. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for  running the project site office that will include finance, accounting, budgeting, computer network, insurance, facilities management, safety, human resources, and similar activities.
  • Oversee the Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Coordinate and supervisethe  purchasing program.
  • Look after site facilities, order supplies and supervise facility maintenance and cleaning.
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and others outside the organization associated with project and non-project related work.
  • Plan, administer, and control budgets for equipment and supplies.
  • Manages, outlines work, sets goals and deadlines for clerical (AP/ payroll) office staff.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by project, division and corporate management.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience 

  • Minimum 5-years office management experience, preferably in a  construction environment.
  • Experience with ERP and Data Management Systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experiene with overseeing and leading Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable groups.
  • Strong track record of customer service and people management.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to requests/service issues.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide and implement recommendations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including third parties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented.
