What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Senior Reporting & Analytics Lead will lead project reporting, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives, delivering integrated reporting solutions that provide visibility into project performance. The role will drive the adoption of Microsoft Power Platform technologies, integrate data across multiple enterprise systems, establish reporting governance standards, and provide actionable insights on cost, schedule, risk, and operational performance to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.
 
What You'll Do Here:
  • Develop, maintain, and continually enhance an integrated project reporting framework, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across cost, schedule, risk, resource, estimating, and operational reporting.
  • Lead the design, development, deployment, and governance of Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies to support reporting, analytics, automation, and operational processes.
  • Lead the integration of project systems including SAP, Primavera P6, InEight, Aconex, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other enterprise platforms, ensuring data consistency and scalability across reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop reporting requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, management, and operations teams, and deliver standardized reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights into project performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze and report on project performance, including cost, schedule, progress, forecasting, trends, risks, opportunities, and other key performance indicators, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership and project executives.
  • Establish reporting and data governance standards, including KPI definitions, reporting controls, data validation processes, reporting calendars, data ownership, quality assurance processes, and a single source of truth for project performance reporting.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in reporting, analytics, data management, and Power Platform solutions, promoting best practices and supporting capability development across the project team.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting processes, streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and maximize project performance.
 
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in reporting, business intelligence, project controls, data analytics, or a related role, preferably within large-scale construction, infrastructure, transit, rail, or transportation projects.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Fabric, with demonstrated experience developing enterprise reporting, analytics, and workflow automation solutions. Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, Fabric, or related Microsoft certifications are considered an asset.
  • Strong technical expertise in data modeling, semantic models, dimensional modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and enterprise reporting architecture. Experience with Python, R, SAP Webi, or other analytics tools is considered an asset.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, including ERP, scheduling, financial, document control, and operational platforms, into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience establishing reporting governance frameworks, KPI definitions, data quality standards, reporting controls, and performance management processes.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, change management, and Earned Value Management (EVM). Knowledge of industry best practices such as PMI and AACEI is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to travel to other project sites/offices.
  • Background checks required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Reason for Vacancy: New Position
 
The expected pay range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
 
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
