What is the Opportunity?
Aecon is a nuclear constructor leader in extending the life of existing nuclear stations and executing the next generation of nuclear new builds in Canada and the U.S. We provide a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) nuclear services for refurbishment, maintenance, new build, decommissioning, modularization, and fabrication scopes, safely delivering through exacting standards and proven results.
The M&TE (Measuring & Test Equipment) Coordinator is responsible for the control, tracking, calibration coordination, and compliance management of all measuring and test equipment used in shop, warehouse, and field operations. This role ensures equipment is available, accurate, compliant, and properly documented to support production, quality, and contractual requirements.
Citizenship Requirement:
This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Maintain the M&TE inventory system, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly identified, logged, and traceable
- Coordinate calibration and recertification activities with approved internal and external calibration vendors
- Track calibration status, due dates, and equipment availability to prevent expired or out‑of‑tolerance usage
- Ensure M&TE records meet customer, federal, and quality system requirements (including SRS and other regulated work)
- Enter, maintain, and audit M&TE data in SAP or approved tracking systems
- Investigate and document out‑of‑tolerance conditions, including impact analysis and corrective actions
- Support audits and assessments by providing documentation, records, and responses related to M&TE
- Work with shop leadership, machinists, inspectors, and engineering to ensure the correct tools are available for each job
- Assist with development and improvement of procedures, work instructions, and control processes related to M&TE
- Train or assist personnel on proper handling, storage, and use of measuring and test equipment
- Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline calibration and tracking processes
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in M&TE coordination, calibration control, quality, or manufacturing operations
- Working knowledge of measuring tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, torque devices, etc.)
- Experience maintaining controlled equipment records and documentation
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with production, quality, and leadership teams
- Combination of office, shop, and warehouse settings
- Periodic lifting of tools or equipment
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet operational and compliance deadlines
- High degree of accuracy and accountability; this role is critical to quality and compliance
