Project Administrator (Telecom Design)

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Porject Administrator will be responsible for administering and coordinating Telecommunications Design, while providing strong customer and field staff support. This position will be located in Kelowna, BC. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create design packages
  • Collaborating with Designers and CAD Technicians to ensure accuracy of all drawings. 
  • Working with permit drawings and city websites to understand full scope of the drawing. 
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Create, manage, and distribute documentation and correspondence as required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
  • Maintains an organized filing system on site. 
  • Liaises with CAD Technicians and field staff to problem solve when required. 
  • Ensure accurate coding of employee’s hours and equipment hours.
  • Responding and redirecting any payroll inquiries to the appropriate contact.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate information and clarify requirements both orally and in writing clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment with ability to apply various client-specific business processes to individual service request situations.
  • Work with a sense of urgency by demonstrating the ability to shift priorities to accomplish objectives.
  • Effectively manage time to keep commitments to both internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD drafting is considered an asset. 
  • Experience with utility porjects, specifically telecommunications, considered an asset. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (MS work, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
  • AutoCAD knowledge is an asset.
  • Must be highly organized, attentive to detail and able to multi-task.
  • Lifting, filing.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours when required.
  • Repetitive movement (data entry).
  • Prolonged sedentary positioning.
