Our portfolio features cutting-edge work on bridges, highways, tunnels, and airports to name a few! In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities.

 

We are looking for a talented and motivated MEP Manager to join our USVI project team. Based in USVI, the MEP Manager leads and exercises functional authority over the MEP for tasks including technical planning, organizing, work execution, budgeting, and cost reporting; ensures that the goals and objectives are accomplished on schedule and within budget, and that safety, quality and environmental standards are met or exceeded. The MEP Manager will coordinate design review comments between Construction and Performance Team to the Designers to ensure closeout of comments in the design package. directs staff in successfully accomplishing goals and objectives.

 

 

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Provide oversight and be accountable for the MEP project coordination, deliverables and initiate project reviews and ensure risk are continuously assessed and mitigated.
  • Review contractual documents to gain an understanding of the project requirements such as safety, environment, quality, schedule, budget, staffing, materials, and equipment requirements, necessary to complete the project on time and on budget.
  • Develop and execute plans that outlines staffing, materials, equipment, subcontracting, and other services that are necessary to deliver the project on time and within budget.
  • Organize and conduct meetings with staff and management to communicate information related to MEP function’s needs concerning project requirements.
  • Manage meetings, client relationships and expectations, communication, prepare progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly),
  • Lead MEP construction activities to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with the designs, budget and schedules.
  • Coordinate with Procurement team for procurement of subcontractors and design input requirements
  • Monitors and oversees the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance for MEP; confers with project staff to ensure the assigned duties and responsibilities are performed per agreed upon expectations.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate the project schedule, anticipate potential roadblocks and develop solutions to prevent issue from arising; resolve problems that may arise during execution and collaborate technical and installation plans with key functional groups
  • Responsible to develop and review the monthly forecast for MEP construction activities.
  • Track design packages for submission to the client and collaborate with document controllers for their timely delivery
  • Communicate any delays in the design schedule proactively and find solutions to mitigate; keep track of all delays and associated claims with design consultants
  • Performing additional assignments as directed by Construction Director

 

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in reviewing and handling MEP civil construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing projects specializing in MEP on schedule and within budget.
  • Ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings
  • Experience with managing vendor relationship, estimation, analyzing information and reporting is essential
  • Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization/time management skills
  • PMP certification a plus.
