We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager with experience in civil infrastructure, particularly tunnelling projects, playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, as well as compliance with environmental regulations.

 

What You'll Do Here:

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures tailored to tunnelling projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments specific to tunnelling activities.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified hazards.
  • Provide safety training to all employees, focusing on tunnelling-specific risks.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and emergency response training.
  • Perform frequent site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Document and report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into any incidents or near-misses.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and manage environmental impacts of tunnelling activities.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and management of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain open communication with project managers, site supervisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health & Safety Technician (CHST) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the civil infrastructure sector, with a focus on tunnelling projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing EHS programs on large-scale construction projects.
