Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement and Subcontract, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Civil Procurement team in all purchasing related activities. This person will also ensure the timely receipt of goods in SAP, as well as tracking deliveries and return of rental equipment. This position acts as a liaison between offices and field workers and must possess strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
What You'll Do Here:

Responsible for receiving function in SAP to ensure costs are incurred in a timely manner

Responsible for coordination with construction team to collect bills of lading/shipment receipts

Responsible for managing project invoices (reviewing for compliance, resolving issues, tracking invoice status)

Coordinate invoice issues with buyers, finance, and project controls

Responsible for managing project records and saving documentation in project document repository

Understanding and familiarity with project procurement plans and Subcon SOP's

Assist and support procurement team resources with any Procure 2 Process Activities and reconciliations as required

Assist in maintain and organizing all related filing systems based on approved procedures

Assist in ad hoc reporting as required to provide updates on procurement activities

Work with procurement, vendors and Aecon Corporate Data team to set up new vendors in SAP
What You Bring to the Team:
- 2-3 years of Procurement or relevant experience in construction or infrastructure industry
- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration preferred

Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment

Advanced communication skills demonstrated through previous experience in the following contexts: multi-disciplinary project & program meetings, technical reviews with solution provider / vendor / supplier and subject matter experts

Experience in program management would be considered an asset

Ability to interpret process flow charts to understand what data is captured and how it travels between various applications

Ability to build positive working relationships with professionals within industry and internal clients

Attention to detail, mathematical and analytical skills

Solid research skills and commitment to continually learn about new products / technologies / processes

Proficiency using Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP (Procure to pay)

The expected pay range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
