Field Supervisor

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, the Field Supervisor will responsible for the management of a team of Field Technicians. The Field Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring and managing telecommunication installation activities. The successful candidate must be able to train new team members on material provided and existing team members on updates to processes and procedures in their region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • At all times the Field Supervisor will be responsible for the ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, their team and all customers in an environmentally friendly manner
  • Monitor and manage and lead all field performance requirements to meet or exceed established Installation and Service benchmarks
  • Conduct performance management reviews and provide necessary feedback to strengthen the team’s performance
  • Ensure all Technician comply with uniform and safety policies
  • Support telecommunication installation activities (Vehicle Management / Inspections / Reporting)
  • Present training courses to new employees or new process updates to the team
  • Update training material and create new process training courses when needed
  • Execute quality of work inspections and coach technicians on quality installations
  • Act as the liaison between Field Technicians, Operations Support, and end users of customers of a contractual obligation
  • Conduct field visits with technicians as required
  • Complete all required documentation for H&S, Quality Assurance and Vehicle Maintenance purposes
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are inspected on a regular basis and are kept in good working condition
  • Manage and track customer complaints and resolution

 

Required Knowledge and Expertise 

  • Excellent Customer Service skills, both internally and externally
  • Must be technically inclined and have a desire to learn
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Installation and repair experience in TV, Phone and Internet as well Fiber is an asset but not required
  • Must be willing to Travel as required and provide a clear driver’s abstract on an annual basis
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check
  • This position requires working in varying heights and spaces in accordance with provincial and federal guideline
  • Evening and Weekend work is required
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours when required.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Office – sitting for periods of time and utilizing the telephone and computer.
  • On the Road – sitting in vehicle driving and completing paperwork.
  • Job Site – periodically uses locate equipment (25 lbs) and 20 lbs transmitter.
