Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator - Estimating will primarily support the estimating and pre-construction functions of the business, while also assisting with project coordination activities throughout project execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, preparing bid submissions, supporting change order pricing, and assisting with project planning, procurement, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
What You'll Do Here
Estimating & Pre-Construction (Primary Focus)
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates
- Obtain, evaluate, and coordinate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Assist in preparing and submitting bids, proposals, and tender packages
- Support budget development, cost forecasting, and estimate tracking
- Prepare pricing for change notices, change orders, and extra work requests
- Participate in bid review and project handover meetings
Project Coordination & Construction Support
- Assist Project Managers with project execution and coordination activities
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, RFIs, and drawing control logs
- Coordinate procurement activities and purchase requisitions
- Assist with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
- Support project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals and quality records
What You Bring to the Team
- Technical diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or a related construction role
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Strong understanding of estimating, cost control, forecasting, and change management
- Knowledge of utility, electrical, civil, or industrial construction projects is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; SAP and estimating software experience are assets
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Be a champion of inclusion and diversity
- Any knowledge/ experience on Estimating Softwares but not required.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $70,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
