Position Title:  Quality Coordinator

Our Aecon Civil group is seeking a Quality Coordinator for our H401 Expansion project in Mississauga.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator will be responsible for overall coordination of the quality inspections & testing activities and maintaining, updating organizing and submitting all the quality deliverables to the Client.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Inspection & Test Plans including Inspection Forms and Checklists.
  • Review ITP requirements related to each field activities and coordinate them with the Aecon staff & subcontractors on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all QC Records have been properly completed, up to date and assembled & maintained until formal submission to the Client.
  • Plan, organize and assemble Quality Records Hand Over packages.
  • Coordinate NCR Process including monitoring and updating NCR status logs.
  • Plan and organize QC Meetings, Pre-Installation Meetings, Mock-Up Inspections and Off-Site inspections and testing including and preparation and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Carry out daily field inspection and prepare QA/QC Coordinator’s Daily Report.
  • Ensure implementation of the deficiency completion & close out process.
  • Monitoring of Method Statement submissions and preparing status reports.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in Quality Training / Management Review & Quality Audits.
  • May be required to work night shift.
  • Other quality related duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree preferred.
  • At a minimum, a graduate of a three-year technology program at the College Level.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC Coordination and Inspections in MTO construction projects.
  • Experience in internal quality auditing and full understating of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System application in construction projects.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate in MS Office, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Quality certification.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation and time management skills. 
  • Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid G Driver’s License.
