What You’ll Do Here:
- Ensure the application of safety standards required by the project’s prevention program.
- Contribute to the development and updating of the prevention program for the construction site.
- Monitor the implementation and functioning of coordination mechanisms between employers on the site.
- Identify situations that may pose hazards and act proactively.
- Conduct workplace inspections.
- Ensure that workers are aware of the types of risks associated with their tasks.
- Receive accident notifications and investigate events that caused or could have caused an accident.
- Accompany the inspector during inspection visits.
- Serve as the health and safety reference for workers and supervisors on the site.
- Order the stoppage of work when required by the situation.
- Participate in site committee meetings and prepare the minutes.
- Prepare and complete various OHS reports, documents, and statistics.
- Issue non-compliance notices and ensure follow-up.
- Conduct OHS orientations for workers on the construction site.
- Ensure that equipment and machinery inspections meet the requirements of the prevention program and/or the manufacturer’s manual.
What You Bring to the Team:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, CNESST training, First Aid/CPR)

2–5 years of experience in HSE within construction or industrial environments

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices

Experience conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Ability to investigate incidents and prepare clear, detailed reports

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and coaching workers

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure
