In December 2024, United Engineers and Constructors was acquired by Aecon Group Inc. Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company. 

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to help manage day-to-day office activities and provide administrative support for various projects and organizational functions. The successful candidate would have experience in general project administration, document control, and procurement, in addition to basic office management. 

 

What You'll Do Here  

  • The successful candidate will perform advanced project administrative duties in support of our power business and the company’s leadership organization.
  • Coordinating with the project engineering manager (PEM) and the project information manager (PIM), the administrative assistant will provide general project administration, document control, meeting coordination, in addition to other project-based activities.
  • Support the procurement process by developing procurement requisitions and purchase orders using SAP software.
  • Assembles and analyzes information, prepares reports, manuals, agendas, correspondence and memoranda.
  • Helps coordinate activities across departments.
  • May arrange and make notifications of appointments and travel reservations/arrangements.
  • Prepares materials in final form from very rough and involved drafts which may utilize frequent use of technical terminology and which combine materials from several sources. 
  • Plans layout of complex reports and statistical tables.

 

What You Bring To The Team

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent and advanced secretarial training
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of prior related experience with 4 years of experience with a company is preferred.
  • Requires mid to expert knowledge of commonly used Personal Computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Working knowledge of SAP software is preferred.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to operate with urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Possesses a thorough and extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures.

 

Salary Range & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $60,000.00 -- $80,000.00 annually
