What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract to construct a nuclear facility which utilizes the GEH BWRX-300 reactor technology. The project is known as OPG’s Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). The project is located on the DNNP site in the Municipality of Clarington, in the Regional Municipality of Durham.
As part of the Site Establishment team, the Commissioning Coordinator Co-op will report to the Testing and Turnover Manager and will assist in management of commissioning preparation, including procedure writing, care and preservation, implementation of digital tool, estimation of budget, etc.
This role will require continuous communication with all project team members and will provide supports to team members on various administrative tasks.
What You'll Do Here:
- Assist in the preparation of component care and preservation activities
- Interact with Construction teams to prepare for future flushing/cleaning activities.
- Assist in the preparation of future implementation of digital tool for Commissioning and Completion Management
- Participate in meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Pursuing an Engineering Degree (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) is preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Knowledge of Aconex, Bluebeam, Excel an asset.
- Able to read blueprint an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Valid G license and accessible to a car
- Need to work in person at CHQ.
The expected pay range for this role is $23 - $28 per hour.
